These terms cover the RungBot desktop application and the rungbot.com website. Installing or using the application means you accept them.

1. What RungBot is

RungBot is a desktop trading terminal. It connects from your own computer to the public APIs of prediction-market exchanges — currently Polymarket — displays their order books, and signs the orders you place with a key held on your machine.

RungBot is not an exchange, broker, custodian, wallet provider or payment service. It never holds your funds, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Polymarket or any other venue.

2. Non-custodial by design

• Your signer private key stays on your device. If you choose "remember this key", it is stored encrypted by the operating system (Windows DPAPI) under your user account.
• The key is never sent to us or to any server we control. Orders are signed locally and submitted straight to the venue.
• Because of this, we cannot recover your key, reverse a signed order, or restore access to a wallet. Keeping a backup of your key is entirely your responsibility.
• Anyone with access to your unlocked computer account may be able to trade with the remembered key. Use the "forget" button on a shared machine.

3. Your responsibilities

• You confirm that using prediction markets is lawful where you live, and that you meet the venue's own eligibility rules and terms.
• You are responsible for every order the application sends on your behalf, including orders sent by mistake, and for any taxes arising from your trading.
• You will not use RungBot for market manipulation, for evading a venue's restrictions, or for any unlawful purpose.

4. Not financial advice

Nothing in the application or on this site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to enter any position. Prediction markets carry the risk of losing your entire stake. You trade at your own risk.

5. Fees

RungBot is currently distributed free of charge. Orders placed through the application may carry a builder fee attributed to RungBot in addition to the venue's own fees. Any such fee is shown in the application before you send an order, and the venue always applies its own fee schedule independently of us.

6. Availability, updates and support

The application checks rungbot.com for new versions and can download and install signed updates. Older versions may stop being supported when a venue changes its API, and we may require an update to keep trading.

We do not guarantee that the application, the venue APIs or this website will be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Market data is shown as received from the venue and may be delayed or incomplete.

7. Liability

The application is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for trading losses, missed or rejected orders, incorrect market data, downtime, loss of keys, or any indirect or consequential damage arising from your use of the application. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE APPLICATION OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE APPLICATION.

8. Intellectual property

The RungBot application, name and logo belong to us. You may install and use the application for your own trading; you may not resell it, or redistribute a modified build under the RungBot name.

9. Changes and termination

We may change these terms; the current version always lives at this address, with the date above. Continuing to use the application after a change means you accept it. You may stop using RungBot at any time by uninstalling it — your wallet and funds stay with the venue, untouched.
